Traffic Detour on Reservoir Rd

Traffic detours on Reservoir Rd from 6:30 am to 3 p.m. starting in mid-November

Due to the construction to connect Coventry High School to the sewer system, a traffic detour will be in place on Reservoir Road, beginning on or about November 18.  Reservoir Road will be open to local traffic only from Tiogue Ave to just beyond the high school access road.  The detour will be in place from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., and will last about a month.  There will be no through traffic on Reservoir Road during the hours of the detour.

Traffic detail officers will insure that residents of Kowal Ct and Butternut Drive will have full access to their street during the hours of construction.

The high school access road off of Reservoir Road will be closed during the detour.  All school busses, students, faculty and staff must use the entrance on Club House Road to access the high school property.

All businesses on Reservoir Road will remain open during the detour, although some customers may experience detours.

Rescue vehicles will have full access to Reservoir Road during the detours.

Signs will be in place to direct traffic heading to and from Coventry High School, and traffic coming from or heading to areas north beyond the high school through Wood Estates.  The detour will direct traffic onto Club House Road, to Wood Cove Drive, Magnolia Drive, Nooseneck Hill Rd (Rt 3) then to Reservoir Road.

This detour is expected to last until about December 19th.  The construction and all detours will be suspended during the winter months, and will resume in the spring with the installation of sewer and water mains on Reservoir Road.

Please use caution when driving through construction zones.  We appreciate everyone’s patience while we work to construct this important utility project.  For questions or concerns regarding the traffic detour, please contact Ken Nott, C.B. Utility field contract at 401.569.4365, or Matt Pion, C.B. Utility Project Manager at 401.253.9277.
