On December 1st, CB Utility will be working on Reservoir Road in front of the Coventry High School to install a manhole. This work will require a detour of busses and all traffic from Reservoir Road. This work and the detour are planned for one day, but are subject to weather. The message signs on Tiogue will inform motorist of the upcoming detour, and signs will be in place along the detoured route.
From December 2 to noon on December 24th, inclusive, work will be done on the high school access road. After Christmas, work will resume on the access road until the end of December. The access road to the high school will be closed to all traffic during this time. Reservoir Road and Clubhouse Road will be open to traffic. The high school will adjust their pick-up/drop-off locations accordingly.
This schedule replaces the extended detour previously planned to begin mid-November. Weather depended, CB Utility may work on Reservoir Road in January to install the temporary water services or some clean up details. Information about future details to be conducted in the spring will be posted on the Town of Coventry website.
The major construction work on Tiogue Ave will be done by the end of November. There may still be some touch up work to do, but the construction itself should be done.
