The Coventry Town Council is currently accepting applications for the Redevelopment Agency. The Town’s Redevelopment Agency was created pursuant to the provisions of RIGL § 45-31-1. Its primary function is to eradicate blighted area. “Blighted areas’ are those areas which by reason of physical conditions such as unsuitable soil conditions, unsanitary or unsafe conditions, ledge or rock, obsolescence or deterioration are in need of redevelopment. This is a five (5) member committee appointed by the Town Council. The term of office is five (5) years.
