Human Resource Director

Monday - Friday 8:30am – 4:30 pm


Employee performs management level work directing a variety of human resources program areas to include position classification, benefits, recruitment, compensation, labor/employee relations, risk management, and training. Work involves the application and interpretation of Personnel laws, procedures and policies, and oversight of all personnel actions. Duties require employees in this class to work with all levels of Town personnel and to be able to inform and interpret personnel policies and procedures. Position reports directly to the Town Manager. The HR Director directly supervises any personnel assigned to work underneath them.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, public administration, business management, or a closely related field with One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience; or an Associate’s Degree in the same fields as above with three (3) to five (5) experience in a human resources capacity.
  • Knowledge in a human resources capacity, with some experience in a management or supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • Valid driver's license, with no restrictions that would limit or adversely affect insurability.
  • A professional Certificate in Human Resources Management preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.


Starting Salary:         $86,500

Benefits include accrued time for vacation and sick; full medical and dental benefits with employee co-payment; defined contribution pension program with up to 10% employer match.


We would like to fill the position for July 1, 2024 to train with the current Director prior to her retirement. We will be conducting interviews the week of June 17, 2024.
