Greene Farm Update

The Town of Coventry is aware of the activities taking place at Greene Farm and we have sent them a Notice and Cease and Desist Order based on what we observed on site. Greene has responded and is seeking relief in Superior Court so we are going through the legal process. The Town is doing everything in its ability and authority to enforce our code and regulations and will continue to pursue the case through our solicitor and zoning enforcement officials at the Zoning Board and Superior Court. Regarding the farm stand, those activities are licensed by the State of R.I. and not the Town. We will continue to provide updates as the case progresses, but it may not be resolved quickly.
