GENERAL OVERVIEW:
A Minutes Secretary's job involves accurately transcribing the proceedings of meetings, including attendees, discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring minutes are distributed promptly and maintained for future reference. This is a part time, remote position with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcribing Minutes: Accurately documenting all key aspects of the meeting.
Maintaining Records: Ensuring minutes are formatted clearly and concisely, keeping organized files of past minutes and reports.
Handling Sensitive Information: Maintaining confidentiality of meeting content.
Skills and Qualities:
Excellent Listening Skills: Ability to accurately capture key information from recorded meetings.
- Strong Writing and Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and concisely document meeting proceedings.
- Skill in the use of a computer and other office equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of minutes.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to meet deadlines.
Typing, stenography/transcription skills a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Education:
High school Diploma or equivalent.
