GENERAL OVERVIEW:

A Minutes Secretary's job involves accurately transcribing the proceedings of meetings, including attendees, discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring minutes are distributed promptly and maintained for future reference. This is a part time, remote position with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribing Minutes: Accurately documenting all key aspects of the meeting. 

  • Maintaining Records: Ensuring minutes are formatted clearly and concisely, keeping organized files of past minutes and reports. 

  • Handling Sensitive Information: Maintaining confidentiality of meeting content. 

 

Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent Listening Skills: Ability to accurately capture key information from recorded meetings.

  • Strong Writing and Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and concisely document meeting proceedings. 
  • Skill in the use of a computer and other office equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of minutes. 
  • Time Management Skills: Ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Typing, stenography/transcription skills a plus.

  • Ability to work independently.

Education:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
