Position Title: Receptionist
FLSA Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $18.06 per hour
Reports To: Work Schedule: M-F 9:00am – 2:00pm
M-F 2:00pm – 7:00pm
Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and staff, providing courteous and professional customer service. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, handling communications, and supporting administrative functions to ensure efficient daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner; direct them to appropriate personnel or departments.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; take accurate messages as needed.
- Maintain front desk area in a clean, organized, and presentable manner.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
- Prepare outgoing mail and coordinate courier services as necessary.
- Provide general information to the public, employees, and other stakeholders.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars as assigned.
- Perform basic clerical duties including filing, data entry, copying, and scanning.
- Assist with preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies for the front desk area.
- Support other administrative staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative support role preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.

- Knowledge of office procedures and basic administrative practices.

Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent use of hands for typing and operating office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
Office setting with frequent interaction with the public, in person and by phone. May involve periods of high activity and interruptions.
