Briar Point Beach is open to the public from 10:00am - 6:00pm, seven days per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. All patrons should clear the beach and parking lot by 6:00pm.
No pass is required to access the beach at this time.
Bathrooms are open to the public Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Portable restrooms are available from April to November.
No lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk.
*No open fires or grills of any kind are allowed at the Briar Point facility
*Alcohol or the use of controlled substances are prohibited (Coventry Ordinance Sec. 175-5)
*No smoking, vaping, or use of any tobacco or e-cigarette products. (Coventry Ordinance Sec. 175-5)
*No foul or offensive language
*Music shall be played at a low level where only those in the immediate area of the source of music can hear it. Be respectful to those around you.
*No watercraft of any kind can be launched or used from the beach. That includes jet skis, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, etc. Watercraft must be launched from the boat ramps.
* No motorized watercraft is allowed within 150 feet of a public bathing area owned by the Town.
*No dumping of household trash. Littering is prohibited. Picnic areas must be left clean.
*No fishing from the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day
*No overnight camping
*No overnight parking. All vehicles left unattended after the gate is locked are subject to towing, fines, etc.
*Water proof diaper pants required for small children
*All animals, be they leashed or not, are banned from the beach area from May 1 through September 30 of each year. (Town code of ordinances Sec. 175-6). Service animals are exempt.
*Animals are allowed outside of the beach area provided they are leashed and owners are in control of the animal at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their animals. (Town code of ordinances Sec. 175-6)
